The Origin of SIMA

SIMA was founded on August 1, 1982, by Marian and Peter Thomasse from their home in Zeelst. They started with just one carpet cleaner, and within six months, they had already expanded to six machines. More tools and equipment were added over time.

When their house became too small, they were able to purchase a plot of land in Achtse Barrier. In May 1986, the company moved to a new location at Fransebaan 598 in Eindhoven.

This building quickly became too small as well, so they added an extension. The new construction was completed in May 1988, allowing for further expansion of the equipment inventory.

Until 1989, Marian ran the company on her own. After that, Peter joined full-time.

Over the years, the range of equipment continued to grow. With the purchase of larger machines and tools, even more space was needed, leading to another expansion in 2000.

Now, after running the business with great dedication and pleasure for 35 years, Marian and Peter are retiring. The company is being taken over by Eric Deckers from de VerhuurXpert.

As of August 1, 2017, the new name becomes SIMA de VerhuurXpert, and the company moves from Fransebaan 598 to Industrieweg 24—remaining in the Achtse Barrier industrial area.
