Damage Waiver, Fire, and Theft Policy

The Damage Waiver, Fire, and Theft Policy (SBD Policy) applies to all machines, tools, and trailers rented from SIMA de VerhuurXpert. This policy does not apply to motor vehicles, which are subject to mandatory insurance. The SBD Policy covers all damage to the rented item, except damage resulting from embezzlement, improper or careless use, actions, or negligence.

An additional surcharge of 10% on the total rental fee applies for this policy over the entire rental period. An excess (deductible) per incident also applies.

Damage Waiver:

In case of damage, the following excess applies per incident:

• Category 1: Small equipment (new value up to €500) – €50

• Category 2: Equipment (€501 to €1,500) – €100

• Category 3: Large equipment (€1,501 to €3,000) – €250

Not covered:

1. Damage caused when the equipment was used for purposes other than intended.

Fire and Theft Policy:

Covers material damage due to fire or theft. An excess of 20% of the new value of the rented item (as of the start date of the rental agreement) applies.

In case of theft or loss, the renter is required to report it to the police and provide the rental company with a copy of the police report.

Not covered:

1. If the rented item was not in a locked space or fenced area at the time of the incident.

2. If the renter is found to have been careless in handling the equipment.

3. If fire or theft was caused by the rental company or its staff.

4. If the renter sublets, lends out, or otherwise transfers the equipment to third parties without written permission from the rental company.
